A solitary figure emerges out of seclusion to learn an ice-skating dance sequence. Set in a disorientating arena of shifting boundaries, the lessons are not going well. From Nose to Mouth portrays a character trying to grapple with the demands of a strangely disjointed and fragmented world.

Director of Photography

Philipp Blaubach was born in Hamburg 1972 and studied film at the London International Film School 1995-1998. After wining the Kodak Student Commercial Award 1998 he was invited to the Kodak cinematography masterclass, Budapest, under laszlo Kovacs ASC and Billy Williams BSC. He was invited to the Berlinale talent campus, 2004. Philipp Blaubach has photographed numerous short films that have been shown at international festivals, including Cannes, the Berlinale, Sundance, Raindance and Camerimage. Get the Picture was shown in the Trick of the Light outstanding cinematography programme at the ICA. Veronique won the Orange FilmFour Awards for best short film. Funeral Etiquette won the Berlinale talent movie award. The feature film Little White Lies received a BAFTA Cymru nomination for best cinematography.
