As part of the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival's Future Projections Programme, Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s single-channel installation Phantoms of Nabua, will be showing at MOCCA. Future Projections is a far-reaching programme of installations, interactive film projects and other film-related art work presented outside of the cinema space and throughout the city of Toronto.

Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s A Letter to Uncle Boonmee is also being presented at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Wavelengths 4: Une Catastrophe programme.

Both films are elements of the multi-platform Primitive project which focuses on a concept of remembrance and extinction set in the northeast of Thailand. Boonmee is the main character of the feature film of the project.
