Alex Schady curates an afternoon of animations selected from the Animate archive. Bringing together a diverse range of films the show will loosely explore the relationship between animation and mystery or the fantastical. The work will be projected within 2 custom made cardboard cinemas created specially for the event.

Alongside the animations there will be a showing of a new piece by Schady. Séance is an interactive video in which the audience is invited to make a series of sculptural apparitions that are inserted into the fabric of the film.

In with the New is part of Camden Arts Centre's annual winter festival celebrating the coming of the New Year - take part in free animation and film workshops, watch screenings and a live art performance event including some magic, and relax in the Cafe with seasonal treats.
